VELDHOVEN

Zandoerle, Veldhoven, Oerle, Zeelst, Meerveldhoven are five former church-towns that merged into one municipality: the municipality of Veldhoven.

These ‘church towns’ each have a strong historical and cultural background. The idea of the city was to create a square in front of the city hall, where the five poles symbolised each of the church towns. At the top of the pole you see a silver cross, which is actually pointing to every church in the towns.

THE RESULT

A square where the poles create an area that can be used for multi purposes, with the symbolic detail to the culture and history of the city and towns.
