Tampere is known in Finland as an old industrial city that has always been strong in engineering. The engineering works were preceded by workshops where clever smiths hand-wrought tools, metal parts, ornaments and even machines.

Hammers at the top of the poles represent the history of Tampere in the Central Square of the city.

THE RESULT

The lighting of Tampere Central Square is based on the hammer poles. There are also loudspeakers fixed to the poles, for all kind of national events that are held in the square.
