The close surroundings of the Härkitie roundabout in city of Nokia is densely built area with some heavy traffic. The project objective was to highlight the roundabout by building a lighting system with bollards and lighting poles, which clearly deviate from the street lighting of the surroundings. Approach was to create a large Christmas candle like atmosphere using the street lighting.

THE RESULT

An indirect lighting structure has been designed to offer a soft lighting design. The pole is structurally “transparent” to gain light and spacious appearance. The lighting integrated inside the pole emphasizes the structure in exciting way. Also Christmas lights are installed to the pole to amuse citizens during the darkest times of the year.
